District Leadership Elections

The District Leadership Committee (DLC) has submitted a list of candidates for the 2022-2023 year. The elected leadership team is listed on the Meeting Results page.

Realignment

It was proposed and approved that some clubs be realigned into new areas for the upcoming Toastmasters' year.

Credentials & Proxies

The President and VP Education for each club each held one vote.  In order to attain a quorum, which is necessary to conduct any business, we must have 1/3 of Club Presidents, and VP Education registered for the business meeting.  District Executive Committee members also each hold one vote, but do not contribute to the quorum. Enough clubs were represented at the business meeting to provide a quorum.  Per Toastmaster International Governing Documents – District Administrative Bylaws, Article X, Section e, because this is is a virtual meeting, no proxies were permitted.

All voting was done via an online voting system. Eligible leaders previously registered for the meeting to be counted to vote.

Voting:

When the voting process is conducted online, no proxies are permitted. Each District Council member must cast their own vote. District Executive Committee members are entitled to one (1) vote and may cast up to two (2) additional votes as a Club President or Vice President Education. All other members of the District Council shall be limited to a maximum of two (2) votes.

In good standing:

For clubs to be in good standing they must have a minimum of 8 paid members by May 12, 2022, since our Spring Business Meeting was on May 14. If clubs are below the 8 paid members, the President and Vice President of Education will be unable to vote on any District business.
