Time for a Roast!!
Immediate Past District Director
During the District 106 Annual Conference, we will get the opportunity to roast Immediate Past District Director Michael Carlton, DTM. “What is a roast?”, you ask. Here’s is an excerpt from Toastmasters Magazine, December 2016,
“A roast includes brief stories about the individual, made funnier with exaggeration, one-liners and absurd twists. It often unites the group, especially if the one being roasted is a person in authority. A roast can make someone seem more human and approachable, because they demonstrate that they can take a joke gracefully.” – Maureen Zappala, DTM, It’s a Special Occasion,Toastmasters Magazine, Presentation Skills, December 2016.
What can we say about Michael? A LOT!
What funny things has Michael done? LET ME TELL YOU!
Do you remember when Michael did that thing? OH, YES WE DO!
If you would like a chance to roast Michael, please email our current District Director Kimberlee Redington.
