Transferable Skills: Getting the most from your Toastmasters Meeting

Why did we join? Why do we stay? It’s because of what we learn! But are we really utilizing every element of our Toastmasters meeting? Today, Michael will breakdown every element of our Toastmasters meeting to give examples of the transferable skills we develop by participating in our roles. Some we’re aware of, some we’ve taken for granted. It’s these meeting roles that give us the tools to develop communication and leadership skills. In this presentation, Michael will share how he’s gotten value in the Toastmasters program by taking the lessons in every role, and why he believes this is not just a speaking club, it’s a development program.

Dealing with Change

In a world which is constantly changing,  we must face the tornados that come our way.  Some of us wait until the last minute and seek shelter. Others of us prefer to plan ahead and prepare for chaos.  Change is inevitable.   We can plan and adapt.  Maybe not perfectly, but life is easier when we face that change rather than hide from it.
