Toastmaster of the Year (TMOY) Form with Outstanding Toastmaster Guidelines.
(Your club may have its own criteria.)
Every Toastmasters club will select one of their members to be their Toastmaster of the Year (TMOY) for the 2025-26 Toastmasters Year. They can choose one, vote on one or however they want to decide.
The TMOY tends to be someone who:
- Goes above and beyond to support and market their club
- Attends meetings regularly
- Reaches out to greet guests and welcome them
- Mentors a new member
- Helps understand and promote Pathways
- Competes or helps in speech contests
- May serve in a role within the District
- Leads by example
- Volunteers when roles need to be filled in meetings
TMOY Submission Process & Deadlines
DEADLINE – June 5, 2026
Clubs select a Toastmaster of the Year (TMOY). The Club President (or another club officer) submits the completed nomination form to the Area Director.
DEADLINE – June 19, 2026
Area Directors select an Area TMOY and forward the nominee’s information to the Division Director and Anne Groetsch (TMOY Chair).
Week of June 22, 2026
Area Directors notify their selected Area TMOY of their winner status and inform them they are under consideration for Division TMOY.
DEADLINE – June 29, 2026
Division Directors select and forward the Division TMOY and Area Director of the Year (ADOY) nominations to the District Director (District Trio) and the TMOY Chair.
July 2026 – Date TBD
The District Director, in consultation with the TMOY Chair, selects the District 106 TMOY. Division and District TMOY awards will be announced at the Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI).
