Business Meeting, Credentials & Procedures – Virtual Event

The District 106 District Council Business Meeting will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2020, as an Online Virtual meeting. Pre-registration required by clicking here.

During this meeting, our District Leaders will share reports and plans for the current Toastmasters year, and our Club and District Leaders will vote on important business items to conduct business throughout the year, such as the proposed budget, adjustments to our District Club alignments, and the appointment of District officers, such as Area Directors. The items of business are now available for review (See Below).

Following International Format

For this year’s Fall Business Meeting, we have decided to follow a similar format to the International Business Meeting during the Toastmasters International Virtual Convention. Our goal is to make the Business Meeting as accessible and convenient to all voting members and ensure that a quorum is reached. Per Toastmasters International – PROXIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE MEETINGS.

Business Meeting Ballots & Voting Procedure

Voting members within the District consist of our clubs (represented by our Club Presidents and Vice Presidents Education), as well as our Delegates at Large (District Trio and appointed officers such as Area & Division Directors.) To pass business, a quorum is required consisting of 2/3 of our clubs represented.  

  • The business meeting will start at 9:30 AM Central. The meeting will be broadcast via Zoom and live on YouTube. The business meeting will be recorded for those who are unable to attend during the live meeting.
  • Voting on business items and new business will occur after the business meeting has concluded via online ballot through Election Buddy and will be available until Sunday, September 13th at 5:00 PM Central Time. Ballots will be sent via Email to place your votes. If you prefer your ballot sent to a different email then what is listed on your registration, please send the new email address to the Administration Manager, Crystal Anderson at 4funhiking@gmail.com
  • As a voting member (President, VPE, Delegate at Large), registration for the business meeting is required. Click here to register for the Business Meeting. If a member holds more than one officer role, or is in multiple clubs, please state on the registration form.
  • The District Trio will broadcast a result meeting on Sunday, September 13th at 6:00 PM Central Time to share the voting results and conclude the District 106 Fall Business Meeting.
