Business Meeting Results April 27 2024

District Director Edward Aylward lead the 2024 business meeting on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

District Alignment

Mel Fiecke-Ekensteen, DTM read the District Mission.
Diane Windingland, DTM, presented the Credentials Report – a quorum was present.
The Agenda was adopted.
The Minutes of the previous meeting held on Sep 23, 2023 were approved.
Reports were made by the Division Directors, Executive Team, and Trio.

The District Realignment was discussed , motion passed, no objections received and the alignment passed. 

The District Officers for 2024-2025 were elected as follows: 

Division Director Katy Hursh; Program Quality Director Matthew Villella; Club Growth Director Ashok Sunkavalli; 

Division A Director Lesley Harding; Division B Director Chengtao Wang; Division C Seth Baetzold; 

Division D Director Beth Plamondon; Division E Director Christa Walter. 

These officers were installed by Immediate Past District Director Gopu Shrestha.

No new business. 

The District Director adjourned the meeting.

District Leadership Nominations

Happy New Year 2024 District 106. With the new year I am sure that many of you are looking forward to a year of growth in 2024. 

It’s time for us to select new leadership for the Year 2024-25. As a Chair of the District Leadership Committee chair (DLC) Gopu Shrestha, DTM is calling upon for the candidates for the District 106 leadership. The role of DLC is to evaluate all candidates for District elected roles and nominate the best candidate(s).

Why not resolve to take a step forward in your leadership skills.  We are looking for candidates for leaders for the 2024 – 2025 Toastmasters Year!

You might have seen from several communications on this topic via email, District 106 Newsletters.

Do you know someone who fits that description? We are looking for nominations for the leadership roles of District 106 who fit that description. I became a leader because someone asked me to take that next step in my leadership journey and I’ve continued on this journey to give back to my fellow Toastmasters and the organization that has helped me so much.   • A member may only serve in one (1) position within any District Executive Committee at any given time.
